Ti-Yon wanted to become a registered nurse after the birth of her premature son. It was during his NICU stay that she developed an understanding and true appreciation for nursing. Later, she decided she wanted to become a Family Nurse Practitioner so that she could have more of a direct influence on a patient’s health. She loves focusing on preventative medicine in order to possibly prevent disease and also further enhance a person’s quality of life.
She is single with 2 children (14 year old son, 1 year old daughter). Her favorite activity is relaxing at home and spending time with her family. She is a die-hard football fan of her son and always looks forward to attending his games.
